Environmentally friendly polymer composite material for antifriction purposes

DESCRIPTION:

The new polymer composite is based on an ecological phenol-formaldehyde matrix reinforced with a discrete high-modulus fibrous polyamide-benzimidazole filler made of tribotechnical additives. The composite has high properties and is able to work as an antifriction structural material in heavily loaded friction units and aggressive media: dust, abrasive, moisture, high temperature.

ADVANTAGES:

A polymer composite has been developed, which in terms of environmental friendliness and strength and performance characteristics exceeds the known world analogues.

PURPOSE:

Designed for safe coating.

AREA:

The new polymer composite can be used as an antifriction structural material, that is, plain bearings, bushings, O-rings, bushings, etc., in the machine-building, metallurgical, chemical, and mining industries.

TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC EFFECT:

The introduction of the created polymer composite exceeds textolite: in terms of impact strength – 170-320 kJ / m2, ultimate strength in static bending – 180-230 MPa, compression – 160-200 MPa, heat resistance according to Martens – up to 210оС, water absorption – 0.40, 5%, coefficient of friction – 0.14-0.24; in terms of performance, it is 1.5 times higher than textolite of metallurgical grade “B”, and it is also more environmentally friendly, since the phenolic compound has a free phenol content of up to 1%, while its content in serial phenolic resins is up to 10%.

RESULTS:

Provides consistent results.

READINESS:

Laboratory tested.

TRANSFER:

Sale of licenses. Joint industrialization.
