Special purpose seismic vibration sensor

DESCRIPTION:

As a means of detecting moving ground objects, it is proposed to use small-sized highly sensitive seismic sensors developed on the basis of silicon whiskers, which are capable of registering signals from moving objects, such as personnel, enemy armored vehicles, as well as determining the coordinates of the target, the direction and speed of movement. The use of the device allows solving the problems of ensuring the protection of hazardous objects and creating systems operating in conditions of strong electromagnetic fields. Manufacturing of sensors with the required characteristics is carried out on order.

ADVANTAGES:

    • unique mechanical properties of silicon whiskers;
    • radiation resistance to irradiation by electrons with energy E <= 10 MeV;
    • weak dependence of the output signal of the sensor on the magnetic field up to 14 T.

PURPOSE:

The sensor is designed to detect moving ground objects, determine the type (classification) and evaluate their coordinates.
