RADIATION TECHNOLOGY OF RECYCLING WASTE POLYMERIC MATERIALS

PURPOSE:

For disposal of household and industrial polymeric waste (secondary polymers) by means of their radiation transformation into a chemically active mass for reuse as part of a composite heat-resistant road surface of increased strength.

DESCRIPTION:

The technology is based on radiation destruction of the surface of chemically neutral polymer granules and their further chemical combination with other components of bituminous asphalt to form a dense polymer-bitumen composition of a heat-resistant road surface. Such material retains its properties in the range from -50 ° C to + 120 ° C and has a longer service life.

ADVANTAGES:

There are no analogues in Ukraine. Radiation technology ensures the production of high-quality road surfaces and at the same time solves a pressing environmental problem. In this radiation technology, masses of polymer waste, hazardous to the environment, are returned to the economic circulation.
