PURPOSE:
The proposed system of subsurface remote sensing with reliable detection and recognition of underground objects, operating on the principles of ultra-wideband radar, which allows you to obtain high resolution and sufficient range.
DESCRIPTION:
The essence of the development is characterized by the use of such technologies: new technology for processing signals of subsurface sensing; automated and improved technology for processing fields and images and interpreting sounding results; improved technology for generating and emitting a sounding ultra-wideband signal in order to increase the resolution and depth of sounding; a new technique to prevent a decrease in the signal-to-noise ratio with increasing sensitivity. The development provides an analysis of an object to a depth of 15-20 m with a resolution at a maximum range of about 1 m, and at short distances – up to several centimeters. A prototype of a GPR with a wide range of working depths in comparison with known samples has been manufactured. A technique for the practical use of a GPR was developed and recommendations for the interpretation of the results obtained were developed. Technical documentation and guidelines for the interpretation of remote sensing data have been developed. The results are experimentally verified and confirmed.
RECOMMENDED FIELD OF APPLICATION:
The development is interesting for construction organizations with the aim of introducing construction and repair work into practice to determine the state of soils for laying foundations, researching construction sites before and after drilling or driving piles, studying landslide hazards of slopes, and the like. It will be useful for the city economy to identify pipes, communications, collectors, archaeological sites, graves. Possible military applications.
