PURPOSE:
This development in the form of a complete technological cycle of product manufacturing is intended for use by domestic manufacturers of ceramic materials for the construction industry.
DESCRIPTION:
The developed technology is based on the principles of resource and energy conservation and provides for the use as the main raw material of high-carbon wastes from flotation concentration of lean coal, which are generated and accumulated at the concentration enterprises of coal-mining regions of Ukraine. A feature of the developed technology is the use of preliminary thermal treatment of coal waste at the burnout temperature of volatile substances and their pyrolysis products (= 550 ° C). This technological method provides a controlled removal of excess carbon from waste to its final amount at an average of 3.5 wt. % and leads to partial thermal destruction of clay minerals, which turns coal waste into low-carbon pseudo-clay raw materials with an activated mineral part. The technology provides for semi-dry pressing of semi-finished products and their firing in normal mode at temperatures of 970 ° С (for bricks) and 1030 ° С (for tiles).

ADVANTAGES:
Due to the residual carbon in the prepared coal waste, which serves as a fuel component of the masses, conditions are created to save gas fuel, which is spent on burning semi-finished products (by 80% of the required volume), which provides a significant economic effect. Using the organo-mineral raw materials prepared in this way in the amount of 80-85%, together with 15-20% of scarce local clays, the technology for the production of high-quality facade ceramics (brick, tile) with properties that meet the requirements of the relevant domestic standards harmonized with European norms has been developed. Development is ready for implementation.

The demand for the development of building ceramics by enterprises is due to the need to reduce the production costs of fuel, the disposal of waste mining waste generated during the mining and enrichment of coal, as well as the depletion of deposits of high-quality clay raw materials used for production needs.
