Brief description, technical and economic parameters of advantages and positive qualities.
The essence of the innovation is the use of a multichannel thermoelectric device with a thermocouple measuring microprobes of different diameters made of polytetrafluoroethylene, with a temperature sensor located at the working end of the microprobe, with which it is possible to register and display intraocular temperature on-line with high accuracy at different depths in the anterior chamber of the eye or in the vitreous cavity at all stages of standard ophthalmic surgical interventions both in the anterior (cataract surgery) and in the posterior part of the eye (vitrectomy). The application of the method makes it possible to control the dynamics of thermal processes in the eye during ophthalmic surgical interventions carried out under conditions of artificial hypothermia. This, in turn, will lead to more efficient use of beneficial thermal effects for the treatment of eye diseases and to reduce the risk of developing a number of intra- and postoperative complications.
