Brief description, advantages, further prospects for application. It has been proven that it is expedient to form a highly productive herd of dairy cattle of the Holstein breed according to the principle of an open population with the intensive use of Holstein bulls-improvers of promising lines and occasional import of breeding stock, since it has been established that cows of the Holstein breed of German and Ukrainian breeding showed themselves to the conditions of intensive milk production technology With the change of generations in animals of the Holstein breed of German and Ukrainian selection, there is a natural increase in milk yield and protein content in milk in daughter cows. Their hopes for the first lactation, respectively, amounted to 10215 and 10942 kg of milk, which is 921 kg and 2010 kg more than that of their mothers, and protein milk increased by 0.05% and 0.08%, respectively. Imported cows of German selection in terms of the duration of use and the manifestation of lifelong productivity were not inferior to their peers of Ukrainian selection, and even prevailed in terms of milk productivity. The patterns of the influence of linear affiliation on the manifestation of signs of duration and lifelong productivity of cows of the Holstein breed of German and Ukrainian selection have been determined and reliably proven. From breeding animals of the Holstein breed of German selection, on average, one cow of the first and second genetic and ecological generations, respectively, 1659.56 UAH and 1900.26 UAH of profit, and Ukrainian breeding, respectively, mothers and daughters – 1556.35 UAH and 2160.83 UAH.
