Research level: no analogues in Ukraine.
Patent: no.
What additional actions require further research: At the next stage of the implementation of the topic, it is planned to conduct research in order to determine the specific abiotic conditions of the coast-sea contact zone
Brief description, advantages, further prospects for application.
The work done meets national high-level standards.
The methodology of integrated studies of the coast-sea contact zone is substantiated, which is able to solve the problem of identifying environmentally hazardous objects of the marine environment in order to determine priority areas for the protection of water bodies in the region.
The use of the developed methodological approaches can be useful in the implementation of a water resources management strategy and measures to reduce the impact of pollution sources on the coastal strip of the sea and increase the recreational value of the sea coast of Ukraine.
The developed methodology for studying the biological pollution of the coast-sea contact zone makes it possible to carry out state monitoring of coastal waters, taking into account the new requirements of the current legislation.
Further use of sound methodological methods for determining the acute toxicity of priority toxicants for groups of hydrobionts in the coastal-sea contact zone by biotesting will make it possible to identify the most significant technogenic risks and integrally characterize the harmful effects of xenobiotics.
