Purpose. Creation of a cryobank of autologous testicular tissues with the possibility of their further use for biotechnology and in clinical practice in order to preserve fertility in men.
Application area. Medicine.
Advantages. The introduction of fibrin gel into a cryoprotective medium makes it possible to avoid the use of xenogeneic serum, reduce the concentration of the cryoprotectant and shorten the duration of the cryopreservation process, while maintaining the morphofunctional state of the convoluted tubules of sexually mature testes at a qualitatively high level.
Description. Cryopreservation of fragments of immature testicles is a non-alternative method of preserving the fertility of pre-pubertal patients who are indicated for cytotoxic therapy. The developed modern biotechnology involves obtaining a supply of testicular tissue and their further long-term storage at low temperatures without significant changes in the morpho-functional state. This allows free transportation and thawing immediately before therapeutic use. The effectiveness of the product has been shown in pilot experiments on animals.
