Purpose. To develop an algorithm and program to support decision-making when choosing protective clothing and equipment to avoid a person’s critical condition (hypothermia) while in the aquatic environment.
Specifications. To implement the software, it is assumed to use a computer with the following characteristics: Processor: 32-bit dual-core processor from 1.3 GHz; RAM capacity: from 2 GB; corresponding OS MS Windows 7,8,10; Network interfaces: Ethernet. Universal ports for connecting to third-party devices.
Application area. Diving work, water rescue work, water sports, military operations and training, diving. State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations, Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Advantages. The technology makes it possible to identify and assess possible risks of a threat to human health in the aquatic environment – the risk of hypothermia, and to dynamically track the functional processes occurring in the human body. Decision support when choosing protective clothing in given conditions of the aquatic environment (choice of design and characteristics of protective clothing).
Technical and economic effect. The technology allows us to identify and assess possible risks to human health in the aquatic environment – the risk of hypothermia.
Description. The technology makes it possible to test the influence of the characteristics of materials and design of a wetsuit on a person’s thermoregulation in water to ensure thermal comfort in given conditions.
