Ukrainian and American companies in the field of leading defense technologies have launched a program to support Ukrainian technology startups in the defense sector called MITS (Might).
This is stated in the accelerator’s press release.
It is noted that the goal of the Power program is to help young technology companies find the best partners and scale, and to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces get the best defense technology products for use as quickly as possible.
The accelerator offers $200 thousand in support to startups. Of which, 100 thousand are direct investments in the company, as well as 100 thousand dollars for the examination, which is carried out by Motz together with American University Kyiv (partner of Arizona State University).
The support program is divided into business acceleration and post-acceleration support, each stage lasts 3 months.
Also, Power, together with American University Kyiv, has developed an educational program that has a theoretical and practical part. The ultimate goal will be to help companies scale and find partners.
MITS will provide assistance to the following categories of startups:
- Ground robotic systems;
- Unmanned aerial vehicles;
- Unmanned ground vehicles;
- Unmanned underwater vehicles;
- Electronic warfare (EW) equipment;
- Communications, optical and acoustic reconnaissance;
- Military transport;
- Mining/clearing;
- Software and AI;
- Ammunition;
- Equipment of the “soldier of the future”.
Startup teams can apply to participate in the acceleration from February 23 to March 14, 2024 by filling out a form on the MITS website.
