Lecturer:
prof. Franco Nori (Riken, Japan and University of Michigan, USA), Principal Investigator at the Institute for Physical and Chemical Research, Riken, where he leads a research group at the Quantum Computing Center and also holds a professorship at the University of Michigan. His group is known for pioneering interdisciplinary research at the interface of quantum optics, quantum information science and theoretical solid state physics. Theoretical laboratory of quantum physics prof. Nori studies superconducting quantum circuits for quantum computing, optomechanics, dissipative quantum systems, etc. Prof. Nori has received a number of awards, including the Charles Hard Townes Medal and the W.E. Lamb Medal.
