The seminar will take place online on the Zoom platform, 04/30/2024, 15:00-17:00 Kyiv time, working language – Ukrainian.
This event is the first of a series of six online seminars of the Open4UA project, which will be held every six months and are designed to become a platform for forming a pan-Ukrainian network of experts and enthusiasts of open science and promoting progress in this direction. Seminars are an important channel for disseminating the results of the project and receiving feedback from the Ukrainian academic community and other stakeholders to form a vision for the development of open science in Ukraine.
During the first seminar, the Open4UA team will present recommendations for reforms in the Ukrainian sphere of science and education, developed by the project consortium based on studying EU best practices. Also, as part of the seminar, we will discuss a new methodology for certifying scientific institutions and institutions of higher education in terms of their scientific (scientific and technical) activities, recently proposed by the Ministry of Education and Science for public discussion. The Open4UA team took part in the development of the methodology and wants to promote effective discussion of it in wider academic circles.
The seminar will be held online on the Zoom platform. Representatives of the Ukrainian academic community, government bodies, local government and all interested parties are invited to participate in the event (registration is required). There will also be a live broadcast of the seminar on Facebook.
