Competition for Ukrainian-American alternative energy research projects announced (submission of applications by February 28, 2020)

On December 23, 2019, a competition for joint Ukrainian-American research projects on basic or applied research in the field of alternative energy began. The priority areas are photovoltaics and biofuels.

Projects will be implemented in 2020-2021.

The competition was announced by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the United States Civilian Research and Development Fund (CRDF Global) under the Joint Scientific Projects program for Ukrainian and American scientists.

Project proposals are accepted until February 28, 2020 (inclusive).

To participate in the competition required:

1. Submit the project to CRDF Global via the electronic project submission system via the link.
2. Submit project to MES:

– in paper form (all materials are collected in one folder);
– application on electronic media;
– fill out the form with a summary of the offer: https://forms.gle/snBPsJbiuSnbR44D6

Only those documents that are sent no later than the last day of the competition (by date on the postmark) to the Ministry of Education and Science (Ukraine, 01601, Kyiv, 16, Taras Shevchenko Boulevard) and registered in the Office will be considered:

– in the case of mailing – room 310 (office; the stamp on the envelope must be dated no later than February 28, 2020);
– in case of personal transfer – the documents should be left in a mailbox located in the MES hall (16, Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, Kyiv)..

Ukrainian scientists need to submit the following documents to participate in the competition:

– cover letter on the form of the applicant institution to the name of the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Polyukhovich Y. Y.;
– completed application form form for participation in the competition in Ukrainian and English languages with originals of signatures and seals (in paper form (2 copies) and on electronic media);
– a letter from the co-executing organization of the joint project on the form of the applicant institution;
– act of examination for open publication of research results on the topic of the project – 1 copy;
– project summary in Ukrainian with the signature of the project manager – 1 copy.
