DEVICES FOR THE DETECTION OF DEFECTIVE HEAT-WASTE REACTOR ASSEMBLIES

PURPOSE:

To increase the efficiency and reliability of the system for monitoring the tightness of the reactor fuel assemblies.

DESCRIPTION:

The device relates to the field of monitoring the safety of nuclear fuel operation, in particular to a system for monitoring the tightness of fuel assemblies (TFA) of water-cooled reactors.

ADVANTAGES:

The use of a specially organized biphasic finely dispersed stream improves the efficiency of washing off fission products from the claddings of fuel elements. The organization of multiple air and water circulation in the volume of the working rod makes it possible to avoid dilution of activity in the process of tightness control, which increases the quality and reliability of the control.

RECOMMENDED AREA OF USE:

Nuclear power.
