A method for measuring the stress-strain state of a material using laser Doppler vibrometers includes measuring deformation and vibrations of a solid, decomposing vibration signals into a spectral series using direct Fourier transform and measuring harmonic amplitudes. Measurements are carried out with a continuous dynamic growth of the sample load in a tensile testing machine over the entire range of the load diagram, fix the moments of occurrence of vibration signals depending on deformation and determine the number of harmonic amplitudes exceeding the discrimination level for each vibration signal, plot the dependence of the number of excess, harmonic amplitudes on deformation, establish the correspondence of the number of harmonic amplitudes exceeding the discrimination level with the areas of strengthening of the sample loading diagram.
