Internal combustion engine exhaust manifold thermoelectric generator

DESCRIPTION:

The thermoelectric generator of the exhaust manifold of an internal combustion engine is made in the form of a ceramic tube. Thermoelectrode wires made of polymorphic alloys are installed on the outer surface of the exhaust manifold, in which areas with different crystal structures are formed, connected in thermopiles with hot and cold areas, between which they contain a heater, and a three-position switch, a starting capacitor, a starting electric motor are connected to the terminals of the thermopile.

PURPOSE:

The use of a thermoelectric generator of the exhaust manifold will increase the efficiency of the internal combustion engine due to heat recovery, reduce the load on the starting battery during frequent engine shutdowns, and minimize the impact of exhaust gases on the environment by reducing the temperature of gases leaving the exhaust pipe.

AREA

The utility model relates to engine building, namely to silencers of internal combustion engine noise and thermoelectric energy converters.
