Crystals for functional electronics

Research area – electronics.

Purpose. The research results and the obtained single crystals will be used to create experimental samples of functional electronics devices.

Area. Instrumentation based on crystals of active dielectrics (acousto-optics, electro-optics).

Description. The object of research is the processes of the appearance of defect states in crystals for optoelectronics, electrophysical and optical phenomena in partially disordered and nanophase materials based on active dielectric compounds. Controlling the properties of crystals of active dielectrics by creating artificial defect states contributes to the production of materials with desired properties, which stimulates the creation of efficient media with stable parameters for modern electronics.

Advantages: The main advantage of research in this area over domestic and foreign analogs lies in the combination of the possibilities of varying the synthesis parameters and complex studies, which makes it possible to establish a connection between physical properties and structural features, growing conditions and technological processing of the obtained materials.
