Brief description, advantages, further prospects for application.

The purpose of the stage was to use classical breeding, physiological, biochemical and molecular genetic methods to evaluate promising varieties, forms and clones in terms of the level of manifestation and stability of the main economic-valuable indicators in order to create the basis for adaptive viticulture in Ukraine.

Genetic, breeding and technological analysis of new, ecological and plastic genotypes of promising forms and clones of grape varieties made it possible to identify varieties and forms that are promising both for production and further breeding process. Forms 58-40-46 and 50-13-79 (table) and 56-55-84 and 58-21-36 (technical) were not inferior in winter hardiness to the control winter-hardy varieties Vostorg and Zagrey. Of 75% of marketable bunches, the control varieties Zagadka, Tair and Original stood out on the bush. Their level corresponded to the forms of Tairyan and 58-4-2. In terms of yield (23 t/ha) and marketability (86%), the Odyssey variety stood out. The yield of most of the studied industrial varieties was above 10 t/ha, while the control variety Muscat Odessa and forms 56-60-80, which were distinguished by this trait, were 21 and 16 tons, respectively.

Most table varieties and forms showed resistance to fungal diseases not lower than the relative level – 6 points on a 9-point scale. More than half of the study group showed group resistance (mildew, oidium and berry rot) not lower than 7 points on a 9-point scale. The control variety Aromatny and the forms Yarylo, Selena, Otrada, etc. stand out.

As promising in 2019, 8 clones of three technical grape varieties were identified: Sukholimansky white, Gars Level and Furmint.
