Availability of a patent: 1 patent of Ukraine.

What additional actions require further research: requires approbation and production implementation in crop rotations on irrigated lands in the coverage area of the Kakhovskaya, Inguletskaya, Tatarbunarskaya, Azovskaya irrigation systems and the North Crimean main canal

Brief description, advantages, further prospects for application.

The structure of sown areas at the present stage of development of the agro-industrial complex in the southern region depends on the organizational and economic capabilities and specialization of the existing agro-formations and with the prospect of further development and improvement for silage and green fodder, multi-component cereal-legume and cereal-cruciferous grass mixtures, etc.) should occupy 30-35%.

In large farms where there is no livestock sector, corn for grain, wheat, rapeseed and soybeans for industrial processing will take priority.

The total share of irrigated arable land used by small-scale agricultural formations (farmers and individual farmers) specializing in the cultivation of highly profitable and liquid vegetable, grain and industrial crops does not have a significant impact on the formation of the structure of sown areas. Forage crops both in the second and in the third group of farms occupy from 3 to 7%.

In general, the structure of sown areas for the period up to 2022, taking into account the dynamics of reconstruction and commissioning of irrigated lands, will allow growing a sufficient amount of raw materials for the operation of processing enterprises and the production of feed to provide the livestock industry.
