Brief description, advantages, further prospects for application.

As a result of the implementation of the GDR stage in 2021, two criteria for optimizing the designs of bioreactors were developed: the optimality of the geometric shape of the bioreactor and the intensification of mass transfer. The application of the criteria makes it possible to evaluate the efficiency of using the working volume of bioreactors of various designs in terms of the intensity of mass transfer processes and the cost of electricity for mixing and aeration. The development of criteria is the first step towards the creation of bioreactors with an optimal form in terms of mass transfer and energy efficiency. The basis for optimizing the shape, in turn, is the analysis of fermentation medium flow patterns obtained by modeling the processes of mixing and aeration. The development of acceptable modeling methods is the subject of further research.
