Biogas production technology by processing waste products from poultry farms

Purpose. Introduction of biogas technologies for the disposal and safe processing of animal products (manure) in agricultural enterprises.

Technological properties. The technology involves carrying out the fermentation process for 21 days. At a temperature of 34±1°С – 10 days, after which the temperature was increased to 37.5±1°С. Corn residues are used as a substrate in a 1:1 ratio. On days 11-12, the temperature is expected to rise to 37 ± 2 °C, which will sharply increase the biogas yield. The increase in biogas yield can be explained by the fact that at elevated temperatures the solubility of CO2 and hydrogen decreases, which increases the pH value and, accordingly, promotes the utilization of acetate. The activity of enzymes involved in the destruction of raw materials and its subsequent transformation also increases.

Application area. Bioenergy sphere in the field of energy supply to rural areas and energy autonomy of objects of different forms of ownership.

Advantages. A rational ratio of the use of bird droppings and corn waste has been established for optimal biogas yield as a result of fermentation; The biogas yield potential was studied at different ratios of poultry manure/corn waste at fixed temperature conditions. Compared to other technologies, this makes it possible to increase the yield of biogas with a qualitatively higher composition of the resulting biogas mixture, which increases the profitability of production.

Description. Study of the prospects for the introduction of biogas technologies for the utilization and safe processing of animal products (manure) in agricultural enterprises. The volume of generated organic waste (potential raw material for biogas production), including bird droppings, was estimated. It has been determined that when using waste with a high content of nutrients in its pure form – bird droppings, the technological process is more complex and requires a special design of a biogas plant, so the waste is loaded in a mixture with straw. It has been established that the required reactor volume for processing existing raw materials is 1 cubic meter. m of reactor volume requires 40-50 kg of organic waste. The environmental benefits of biogas production include improved sanitation and public health. When processing raw materials, open storage of manure is also excluded. In addition, pathogenic microflora is partially destroyed during processing.
