The Ministry of Education and Science announces a competition for state scholarships from the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan

According to the Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of education and science, the Government of Kazakhstan provides 40 state scholarships to citizens of Ukraine for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Of these, 30 scholarships are for bachelor’s degrees, 10 are for master’s degrees.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine accepts documents from candidates until April 26, 2024. Required documents:

  • application of a candidate for training in the Western Military District of Kazakhstan of the established form with a photograph, filled out in block letters;
  • a copy of an identity document (passport);
  • a notarized copy of the document on the preliminary level of education and annex to it:

➡️ for students of schools who have not yet received a document confirming completion of general secondary education – a notarized certificate of study in the final year with grades for the last six months;

➡️ for students who have not received diplomas – a notarized extract from the record book and a notarized document on complete general secondary education with an application. Students also need to provide a certificate from the educational institution confirming their student status (in Ukrainian);

  • a medical certificate for those traveling abroad to study, issued by an official health authority;
    medical certificate confirming the absence of HIV/AIDS, issued by an official health authority. The certificate must
  • be bilingual (Ukrainian/English or Ukrainian with an unofficial translation into English);
  • motivational essay in English;
  • letter of recommendation in English;
  • certificate of no criminal record, translated into English and notarized.

Documents are submitted electronically (svitlana.pohukaieva@mon.gov.ua and i.zhapakov@sci.gov.kz) and paper (10 Beresteysky Ave., Kyiv, 01135, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Directorate of International Cooperation with a note on the envelope:  Scholarships to study in the Republic of Kazakhstan 2024).

The requirement for applicants to be successful is no lower than a “B” grade. Only documents prepared in accordance with the requirements and submitted before April 26 will be considered.
