The government of Tajikistan provides scholarships for Ukrainians to study

According to the Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan on cooperation in the field of education dated April 9, 2003, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan provides citizens of Ukraine with 20 state scholarships for studying in the 2024/2025 academic year in higher vocational educational institutions of Tajikistan according to certain Tajik side list of specialties and educational institutions.

The Ministry of Education and Science accepts documents from candidates for state scholarships from the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan until June 20, 2024.

List of required documents:

  • a candidate’s application for training in the established form, filled out in block letters, with a photograph;
  • a copy of an identity document (passport);
  • a notarized certified copy of the document on the preliminary level of education and its annex;
  • school students – a notarized certificate of study in the graduating class with grades for the last six months;
  • for students who have not received diplomas of education – a notarized extract from academic records and a certificate from the educational institution confirming their student status (in Ukrainian);
  • motivation letter (in Ukrainian).

A package of documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science in electronic and paper forms. Scanned documents (PDF format) must be sent to the email address: svitlana.pohukaieva@mon.gov.ua. In the subject line of the letter, indicate “Scholarships for studying in the Republic of Tajikistan 2024/2025.”

Paper documents are accepted at the address: Beresteysky Ave., 10, Kiev, 01135, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Directorate of International Cooperation with a note on the envelope: Scholarships for studying in the Republic of Tajikistan in the 2024/2025 academic year.

They can be represented in two ways:

  • send by mail (the date is determined by the stamp on the mailing envelope);
  • hand over in person against the signature of a contact person indicating the date and time of receipt.

All paper documents must be collected in 2 folders (originals and copies) in accordance with the list. Only applications completed in accordance with the specified requirements and sent on time will be considered. The final decision on granting a scholarship will be approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Please note:

In order to resolve issues of crossing by citizens of Ukraine of the state border under the conditions of the legal regime of martial law on the territory of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced changes to the Rules for crossing the state border by citizens of Ukraine, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated January 27, 1995 No. 57.

According to paragraph 26 of the above Rules, the departure from Ukraine of applicants for professional higher and higher education, assistant trainees, graduate students and doctoral students of military age, studying full-time or dual forms of education, is temporarily limited during martial law.
