On April 22, 2024, a webinar “Financing opportunities in the new ERA 2024 competition: WIDERA Information Day” will be held

The purpose of the information day is to inform potential applicants about the new ERA competition topics within the WIDERA Work Program 2023-2025.

Funding opportunities under the new ERA 2024 call will be presented and interested applicants will be able to ask questions.

The new ERA competition, which starts on 15 May and ends on 25 September, includes the topics of knowledge valorization, career stages of young researchers and urban science, opening up opportunities for a wide range of stakeholders with an important role to play in the development of the European Research Area.

Experiment and share best practices to create shared value

Activities aim to support the translation of existing scientific knowledge and research results into innovative solutions, including through experimentation, peer learning and testing of new models, as well as testing best practices in different environments.

Target groups: Teachers/researchers, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, government managers/politicians.

Science is coming to town

A program that allows a group of cities to jointly develop and deliver a vibrant and engaging annual program of events, bringing together local communities of scientists and innovators with citizens and stakeholders around the topic of science and its role in society.

Target groups: City authorities in cooperation with universities, research organizations, civil organizations.

Talent ecosystems to support early career development in science – a pilot project

A program aimed at supporting organizational change and coordinating activities across academic and non-academic organizations to create a talent ecosystem with a broad portfolio of research and innovation roles that provide cross-industry career opportunities for talented individuals in research and innovation.

Target groups: Universities, research and technology organizations and infrastructures, small and medium-sized businesses/industry, government agencies and international organizations/public organizations.
