The selection of participants to receive the national award for their contribution to the development of entrepreneurship, Ukrainian Enterprise Promotion Awards (UEPA), has begun.
UEPA is the Ukrainian national stage for selecting candidates for participation in the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA)*. The UERA Award will recognize initiatives that contribute to the development of Ukrainian small and medium-sized businesses at the national, regional and local levels. This year the selection is coordinated by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Candidates will be selected in the following categories:
- promoting entrepreneurial spirit
- investing in entrepreneurial skills
- digital technology support
- improving the business environment and supporting business internationalization
- supporting sustainable transformation
- responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship
- * as part of the competition, a grand prize will be awarded for the most creative and inspired entrepreneurial initiative in Ukraine. The award does not allow competition for participation in the European part of the competition.
National organizations, regions, communities, cities, public-private partnership initiatives, educational programs and business organizations can apply for UEPA (micro, small and medium-sized enterprises can only apply in the Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship category).
Applications for participation in UEPA will be assessed by a Ukrainian jury according to unified European criteria, which are used in assessing UEPA.
Among the selection criteria:
- originality and realism
- impact on local economy
- improving relations with local stakeholders
- possibility of scaling the project to other European countries
The deadline for submitting an application for participation in UEPA is June 30, 2024 (inclusive).

*Selection for the European EEPA Award takes place in two stages: first, participants compete at the national level. From among the winners of the national selection, each country selects two participants to represent in the European competition.
