Purpose. Strikers for shaking beams of settling electrostatic precipitators.

Technical and economic effect. This development is economically attractive, since today electrostatic precipitators are the main type of gas cleaning equipment used in Ukraine, the countries of the former CIS, as well as in Europe and America. The use of pilot nakuvalens obtained by electroslag smelting with subsequent heat treatment is possible on all, without exception, types of electric filters. At the same time, which is significantly important, an increase in the efficiency of the electrostatic precipitator is ensured. The use of a special ESB method for the manufacture of nakuvalens in comparison with the current technology provides: a guaranteed service life of strikers with the preservation of the original physical and mechanical properties of at least 20 years compared to 5-8 years of service life of standard strikers.
Description. The material of electrostatic precipitator strikers obtained by special electroslag smelting with subsequent heat treatment has significant advantages in mechanical (wear resistance is 1.5-2.0 times higher) and physical (damping is 1.7-1.8 times higher) properties compared to the properties of strikers produced from serial rolled low-carbon steels. The advantages in wear resistance are ensured by improving the structure and properties of the cast metal of the strikers, refining for sulfur, oxygen, globulation and dispersion of non-metallic inclusions, increasing the endurance limit of the striker metal under impact loads.
