Purpose. The technology improves scintillation characteristics and reduces unit costs in the manufacture of highly efficient zinc selenide crystal scintillators.

Technical properties. The production capacity is 10-200 kg of scintillation products per year.

Description. The technological process for obtaining highly efficient scintillators consists of manufacturing scintillators from zinc selenide crystals (ZnSe) and is carried out as follows. Zinc selenide raw material is prepared, using high-quality and pure raw materials. ZnSe crystals are grown from this raw material in growth units under pressure. The grown selenide crystals are subjected to mechanical processing and grinding to the overall size of the element. Quality control and measurements of the light output of the scintillators are carried out.
