Purpose. Traditional gas separation equipment used in process lines of chemical production is characterized by a low degree of separation (efficiency does not exceed 70%, and sometimes reaches even 15-30%). Increasing the efficiency of gas separators manufactured according to state and industry standards is possible through the use of new methods for processing gas-liquid flows and the installation of highly efficient inertial-filtering separation devices with a separation efficiency of up to 99.5%.
Technical properties. Parameter – inertial-filtering separators. Separation efficiency % up to 99.5-99.9. Efficient capture of droplets of size 2R, μm >=5. Liquid content at the inlet, g/m3 <=200. Splash entrainment, g/m3 <=0.015. Hydraulic resistance, MPa 0.015-0.030
Application area. The development can be applied to oil and gas processing plants, as well as in chemical production, where separation of gas-liquid flows is required.
Advantages. Estimated payback periods for new inertial-filter gas separators are up to 3 years, and in the case of upgrading existing separation equipment – up to 1.5 years.
Description. The designs of combined (inertial-filter) gas separators are equipped with efficient inlet units that perform the functions of preliminary separation of liquid and trapping of mechanical impurities, fine aerosol coagulators and highly efficient centrifugal, inertial and filter separation elements.
