Purpose. For immobilization of specific hydrobionts Herpobdella octoculata, Asellus aquaticus and activated sludge in order to increase their biomass due to covalent non-polar bonds without unnecessary energy costs.

Application area. The development relates to biological wastewater treatment from heavy metals and biogenic elements and can be used in aeration tanks or biotanks.

Advantages. The proposed loading is easy to manufacture in the conditions of public utilities with minor capital investments, it does not require special skills in maintenance and can be used for a long time. If regeneration is necessary, the loading is easily lifted, washed with water and again immersed in aeration tanks (biotanks) without their unscheduled shutdown for washing and cleaning. The proposed loading design is applicable to any treatment facilities in order to increase the biomass of activated sludge, taking into account the size of the aeration tanks (biotanks).

The implementation of the active loading surface in the form of a perforated cylinder with a multi-tiered insert increases its active area several times, ensures uniform circulation, preventing the formation of stagnant zones, promotes increased immobilization of specific living organisms – Herpobdella act. of water from heavy metals and biogenic elements due to an increase in the biomass of living organisms. Treatment of the inner part of the loading with synthetic fabric such as non-woven fabric, which has a sparged developed surface, creates optimal conditions for the vital activity of the biocenosis.
