PURPOSE:
For the purification of natural and wastewater of various origin from pollution by nutrients and heavy metal ions.
DESCRIPTION:
Methods have been developed for determining trace concentrations of heavy metal ions in water. Studied and developed new processes for the separation and extraction of heavy metal ions, chromates and other anions from acidic and alkaline solutions to produce metals and chemicals suitable for reuse. Waste-free processes have been created for the extraction of nutrients from natural and wastewater using ion-exchange, sorption and biosorption. New highly effective processes have been developed for the removal of nitrogen compounds from aqueous media, which allow the preparation of drinking water from natural sources contaminated with ammonia or nitrates. Promising and effective technologies have been created for treating water of various origins from ammonium compounds, nitrates, phosphates and heavy metal ions, which are distinguished by the complete utilization of waste generated in technological processes. Designs of electrolyzers (two- and three-chamber) have been developed that allow the processing of eluate containing sodium, calcium or magnesium chlorides to produce alkali and solutions of hypochlorite and sodium chlorite, suitable for water disinfection and disinfection. Technological processes for processing regeneration solutions into nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers have been developed. The basic schemes of water treatment and purification in resource-saving technologies are proposed. All technologies are adapted to the treatment of natural and waste water of various origins.
ADVANTAGES:
New methods of sample preparation and analysis of heavy metal ions in water based on polarography have been created, which provide accuracy 2-6 orders of magnitude higher than methods known today.
RECOMMENDED FIELD OF APPLICATION:
Companies involved in the processes of preparing high-quality drinking water and wastewater treatment. Water treatment plants and treatment plants for mine and wastewater.
TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC EFFECT:
The use of developed technologies and equipment can significantly reduce costs and improve the quality of wastewater treatment and water treatment:
-
- 70-90% reduction in the cost of analyzing natural waters for the content of heavy metals;
- 80-95% reduction in the amount of harmful substances discharged into the environment;
- 60-80% reduction in the total cost of wastewater treatment and water treatment when implementing the developed waste disposal processes;
- at powerful water treatment plants when implementing waste disposal processes through the sale of secondary products, they can become self-sustaining.
