DESCRIPTION:
The method is based on the determination of a new class of highly sensitive, tissue-specific epigenetic tumor markers – microRNAs and the analysis of their correlation dependencies with the characteristics of the molecular profile of tumors.
ADVANTAGES:
MicroRNAs have a significant advantage over other biomarkers due to their stability, selectivity, and specificity for a particular type of tumor. Analysis of the level of one miRNA provides comprehensive information about the tumor (risk of relapse, degree of malignancy, sensitivity to chemo-, radio-hormone therapy, etc.). The use of the proposed panel of biomarkers is highly informative, sensitive and time-consuming.
