Advantages. Compared to domestic analogues, the development helps to increase the reliability of the forecast for the presence of hydrocarbon and methane-coal deposits, and increase the efficiency of prospecting and exploration work; has a lower cost.
Description. The assessment is carried out on the basis of the theory of “oil polygenesis”, an in-depth analysis of the latest and reinterpretation of previously obtained geological and geophysical materials, features of the formation of oil and gas and methane-coal deposits, and taking into account paleoceanographic and geodynamic models of territory development. The result of the research is maps of signs and prospects of oil and gas potential with determination of the places of the highest concentration of oil and gas shows in the studied region and distribution by tectonic zones; quantitative assessment of expected and forecast methane reserves in coal seams and coal-bearing rocks.
