The Ukrainian Venture Capital Association (UVCA) together with the Ministry of Digital Development, USF and USAID announced the start of the selection of startups to participate in the most influential technology event in the world – Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12, 2010 .
You can apply on the website. In total, they plan to select 12 teams for the Ukrainian delegation, which will be funded to participate in the event.
As AIN.UA was told, UVCA covers the following mandatory expenses for startups:
- entrance tickets for all team members,
- separate exhibition space,
- a set of branded merch (clothing),
- participation in trade mission activities (for example, a separate event during which they will be able to present themselves to investors and potential customers and partners).
Logistics (travel, hotel, etc.) will be partially covered.
Requirements for startups
- be registered and carry out its activities in Ukraine, position itself as Ukrainian (which should be indicated on the startup’s website and on all publicly available public resources such as Crunchbase);
- develop product/solutions in any of the technology categories listed on the CES website;
- have an English-speaking representative with excellent communication skills;
- be prepared to fully cover personal expenses in the USA during the exhibition;
- eligible for the Eureka Park showroom and applying for the Consumer Electronics Show for the first time.
Why is this interesting?
- The Consumer Electronics Show is the world’s largest consumer electronics conference. CES is the biggest event of the year for the entire tech ecosystem, traditionally starting in the first week of January and setting the stage for trends.
- The conference attracts more than a hundred thousand visitors and more than 150 countries, more than 1000 startups and investors. Therefore, this is an opportunity for Ukrainian teams to introduce their inventions to the world and get hot leads.
