Applications for participation in the 6th season of the Ukrainian L’ORÉAL-UNESCO Award “For Women in Science” continue to be accepted.
L’ORÉAL UKRAINE LLC introduced this award in partnership with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the public organization “Center for the Development of Corporate Social Responsibility” and under the patronage of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO.
The Ukrainian Prize is part of the L’ORÉAL-UNESCO global program “For Women in Science”, which since 1998 has been promoting the contribution of women to scientific research at the global level. The purpose of the prize is to increase the level of representation of women in science.
The organizers invite women aged 18 to 40 years old who professionally carry out scientific research in the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) on the territory of Ukraine – in any institutions of higher education, their research centers or institutions – to participate in this program. National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – and meet the following conditions:
• are citizens of Ukraine;
• are between 18 and 40 years of age at the time of the application deadline;
• have a scientific degree;
• have publications in journals indexed in the international scientometric databases Scopus and/or Web of Science (most significant publications have Ukrainian affiliation);
• socially active to popularize science.
Applications from potential participants will be accepted until May 31, 2024 (inclusive) in the prescribed form through the online platform.
Each application will be assessed by an independent jury of the program consisting of experts from different fields of science invited by the organizer.
The next stage of the award will be the selection of ten finalists to participate in interviews in September 2024 and the announcement of the top three winners in November 2024. The method and location of the announcement will be announced separately on the company’s Facebook page and official website.
Each laureate will receive a cash prize of 500,000 (two hundred thousand) hryvnia after deducting mandatory payments and fees, which she can use at her own discretion.
