Hydrocyclone for cleaning liquids from mechanical impurities

Purpose. The developed hydrocyclone is used to purify liquids containing mechanical impurities of 20 microns or more in size.

Application area. This development can be used in the chemical and food industries, at gas stations, oil depots, fuel and lubricant warehouses, aircraft and auto repair plants.

Advantages. The developed hydrocyclone has high performance, as well as a relatively high degree of purification from impurities of a given degree of dispersion.

Description. The hydrocyclone for cleaning liquids from mechanical impurities contains a cylindrical body with a lower conical part; a perforated conical separator body installed inside the body, dividing the hydrocyclone body into two parts: internal and external relative to the separator body; an intake sleeve with a mesh wall, which is located inside the conical separator body; an intake pipe connected to the intake sleeve through which the purified liquid is discharged; a sludge drain pipe connected to the lower conical part of the body; a tap connected to the sludge drain pipe, a tangential liquid inlet pipe located in the lower part of the housing; a float connected to the top of the intake sleeve with a mesh wall. The perforated conical separator housing divides the internal cavity of the housing into two parts: internal (I) relative to the conical separator housing and external (II).
