The Ministry of Education and Science has started accepting applications for government order research and development competition – the work of the winners will begin in 2020. The corresponding announcement of the start of selection was posted on the MES website.
Applications are accepted until 6pm on November 26. Any institution or company can apply for their own work for the competition, regardless of the form of ownership or departmental subordination. The main requirements for the organization to have appropriate employees, equipment and material base, and the development was aimed at obtaining a practical result for the development of the economy, society, strengthening national security. The work should have a high degree of readiness for implementation.
“It is important that this is the second time that we are holding a public procurement contract for a simplified procedure. Scholars whose projects will win will not have to undergo any tender selection. Previously, this demand had existed for many years and was quite absurd. The works selected by independent experts and approved by the Government should still be subject to a public procurement procedure. Last year, we were able to remove it and now we have direct contracts. This not only significantly saves the time and resources of scientists, but I hope that something will “revive” the competition, attract new teams”, – said the Director General of the Ministry of Science, Dmitry Cheberkus.
Deadline development should be not more than 2 years. In addition, the work should correspond to the priority areas of science and technology:
- information and communication technologies;
- energy and energy efficiency;
- rational use of nature;
- life sciences, new technologies for the prevention and treatment of the most common diseases;
- new substances and materials.
More information about the conditions and stages of the competition, requirements for participants, the necessary documents can be viewed in the official announcement at the link. There is also an application form and recommendations for filling it out.
