NATURAL COMPOSITES OF ANTIOXIDANTS AND GLYCOSAMINOGLYCANS AS NEUROPROTECTORS AND STIMULATORS OF NEUROREGENERATION

PURPOSE:

The development concerns the creation of cocktails of natural antioxidants in combination with natural glycosaminoglycans (heparan sulfate and hyaluronic acid) in order to obtain pharmaceutical and food composites for preventive protection of the nervous system and stimulation of nerve cell regeneration after injuries.

DESCRIPTION:

The essence of the development is to take into account the correlation of the complex analysis of neuronal adhesive molecules, the main components of the cytoskeleton of nerve cells and the extracellular matrix of the brain. A molecular-biochemical study of effective neuroprotective compounds of natural origin was carried out and an algorithm for the preventive prevention of the development of encephalopathy in conditions of the pathology of various genesis was developed.

ADVANTAGES:

In contrast to the existing drugs with the composition of antioxidants of various origins, the proposed project is based on fundamentally new molecular biochemical data on stimulating the recovery of nerve cells and reducing the development of reactive astrogliosis with the participation of the combined action of natural substances of antioxidants and glycosaminoglycans.
