PURPOSE:
A Ukrainian private enterprise has developed a technology for an environmentally friendly rust converter designed to prepare a rusty surface before applying paint and varnish or insulating materials to it.
DESCRIPTION:
It transforms rust with a thickness of 100-300 microns into a protective anticorrosive film-primer, replaces mechanical cleaning of the surface of steel structures from rust, creates conditions for reliable and long-term protection against corrosion destruction. Applications: industry and other industries where metal products are used. The converter can be used to treat surfaces that come into contact with food and drinking water, as well as to use it in closed rooms without additional measures. Before applying the converter to the surface of metal structures or products made of alloyed, high-alloyed, ordinary and other metals that are subject to destruction (construction and other welded structures for long-term use – pipelines, bridges, towers, car bodies, wagons, electric vehicles, tanks, tanks, fences, roofs, galvanized steel ventilation systems, etc.), cleaning from grease, dirt, formation rust and old paintwork. The product is applied to a dry or damp surface in a continuous even layer without drips in any way: with a brush, roller, with a towel, spray, and the like. The rust transformation process at a rust temperature of +20 lasts 30-120 minutes, after which a protective dark blue film-soil is formed on the treated surface. After complete drying, apply a coating: primer, paint, insulation. On steel surfaces under constant condensation, the converter and special coatings are applied to the damp surface. Using the transducer, corrosion centers under the enamel and in the pores of the metal are detected and blocked. Product consumption: 60-200 g / sq.m. The composition has passed successful “field” tests at large factories, in-branch institutes and construction enterprises of Ukraine.
