High energy lithium chemical power supplies

DESCRIPTION:

New electrochemical systems have been investigated, on their basis, experimental samples of primary and secondary lithium power sources with non-aqueous polymer and solid electrolytes have been manufactured. Design and technological documentation has been developed for the introduction into production of primary elements in cylindrical dimensions “C” and “AA” and secondary power sources in disk dimensions 2325×2016, in a prismatic structure based on domestic raw materials.

ADVANTAGES:

In terms of discharge capacity and cost of specific energy, it exceeds world analogues.

PURPOSE:

The development is intended for the installation of an autonomous electric power supply.

CHARACTERISTICS:

The characteristics of the manufactured samples are at the level of world achievements. The resulting discharge capacity of the elements:

    • Li-MnO2 systems in dimensions “C” with a discharge voltage of 3.0 V and a capacity of 5.5 Ah;
    • Li-FeS2 systems, size AA with a discharge voltage of 1.5 V and a capacity of 7 Ah;
    • Li-MnO2 system with polymer electrolyte (prismatic design) in dimensions 4 x 6 x 1.2 cm -150 mAh. (Secondary current source).

TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC EFFECT:

The release of the CDU according to the developed technology is attractive from an economic point of view. The main raw materials in the manufacture are domestic manganese dioxide and natural pyrite. Most of the components are also produced by Ukrainian enterprises, which significantly reduces the cost of the final product. Significant advantages of the developed CDUs over traditional ones in terms of the cost of specific energy, duration of storage without loss of capacity, low self-discharge can significantly squeeze low-quality foreign-made products on the market.

AREA:

All industries where stand-alone power supplies are used.

RESULTS:

Ready for implementation.

READINESS:

Working documentation has been developed.

TRANSFER:

Sale of licenses. Collaborative industrialization.

NOVELTY:

2 patents of Ukraine. 3 foreign patents.
