DESCRIPTION:
The new elevator has a fan motor with an electric motor. The fan, through dust filters and an air duct laid in the elevator shaft, delivers the airflow to the bottom of the vertical cylindrical shaft. The elevator car is provided with seals along the perimeter with the ability to slide along the inner surface of the sealed shaft. The cab starts to move due to the pressure difference above and below.
CHARACTERISTICS:
To lift five people with a total weight of 4 kN at a speed of 2 m / s with a cabin area of 2×2 m2, the required air pressure is only 2 kPa (0.2 atm) and an airflow rate of 4 m3 / s, which can be provided by a conventional fan with a power of 10-15 kW taking into account its aerodynamic characteristics.
ADVANTAGES:
The air piston elevator is simple in design, installation, does not require additional rooms, basements and attics, its operation does not depend on the lifting height, it is completely safe and always guaranteed against falling, its cost is 3-5 times less than standard rope lifts. Even with a low number of storeys of buildings, it justifies itself economically. Can be exported abroad.
