The IV All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Scientific Papers on the Revolution of Dignity has been announced

Until February 28, 2022, applications are being accepted for participation in the IV All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific papers on the Revolution of Dignity to receive the Award named after the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred Sergei Kemsky.

The competition encourages university students to research the Revolution of Dignity, study its history, characteristics, achievements, meaning and influence. He seeks to intensify scientific interest in the events of the Revolution of Dignity, to contribute to a critical rethinking of the modern history of Ukraine and to popularize the lessons, experience and values ​​of the Maidan among young people.

Research related to the topic is accepted:

  • sociology and history of the Revolution of Dignity;
  • Revolution of Dignity in the context of international politics;
  • regional characteristics of the Revolution of Dignity protests;
  • research of initiatives and public experience of the Maidan;
  • everyday life and everyday life of the Maidan;
  • communication, propaganda and information policy of the protest movement;
  • art and creativity of the Maidan;
  • The Revolution of Dignity in the context of the world’s protest movements;
  • social, political, political, ideological, cultural, art history, ethnological, museological, religious, philosophical aspects of the Revolution of Dignity;
  • research of the personalities of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, the wounded, activists and volunteers of the Maidan;
  • the politics of memory and commemorative practices of the Maidan.

Students and cadets are invited to participate. Both individually and as part of a team of authors (up to two people). Contest winners will receive cash prizes: 

  • 3rd place – UAH 4,000;
  • 2nd place – UAH 7,000;
  • 1st place – UAH 15,000.

The organizers are the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity and the public organization “Family of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred”. The competition is implemented as part of the “Differences of Heroes” project.
