Until February 28, 2022, applications are being accepted for the Climate Innovation Vouchers grant for Ukrainian small and medium-sized businesses. Participants can receive €50,000 for the development or implementation of environmental technologies in processes.
Projects must reduce greenhouse gas emissions or improve energy efficiency. Companies that can apply for a grant:
- Introduce or develop environmentally friendly technologies.
- Registered as a legal entity (private company) on the territory of Ukraine.
- They operate for at least one year.
- Ready for co-financing in the amount of at least 25% of the grant amount.
You need to apply here. Winners can send grants to pay for services that will help improve or finalize the innovation. The voucher will cover the cost of designing climate technology prototypes, certifications, testing and patenting, development of IT components, marketing services, etc.
Also, every Thursday, potential participants in the grant competition will have online consultations on the project and the specifics of filling out the application.
In 2021, six Ukrainian companies have already received vouchers totaling almost 240,000 euros and are implementing green innovations in their business. Projects include panels made from recycled plastic for interiors, agricultural drones, steel residential complexes, new wastewater treatment technologies, and more.
The Climate Innovation Vouchers project is a component of the EBRD’s Climate Change Technology and Finance Transfer Center (FINTECC) program supported by the EU under the EU4CLIMATE initiative.
