Spacecraft protection system from longitudinal vibration loads during its launch into working orbits

Purpose:

To reduce the level of longitudinal vibration loads on the spacecraft.

Area:

Spacecraft construction.

Advantages:

The proposed system is lightweight, compact and provides suppression of longitudinal vibrations in a wider frequency range compared to known analogues. The installation of such a vibration protection system ensures a decrease in the level of longitudinal vibration loads on the Sich-2M spacecraft at an oscillation frequency of 5 to 10 Hz by more than 2 times, and at an oscillation frequency of 10 to 100 Hz – by 10 times.

Description:

The proposed vibration protection system is an autonomous system of passive action, which is installed between the upper stage of the launch vehicle and the spacecraft adapter. The main element of this system is the elastic-dissipative module. One-dimensional movement of the vibration protection system along the longitudinal axis is provided by special guide rods. A schematic diagram, a sketch and a mathematical model of a specific system for protecting a spacecraft from longitudinal vibration loads during launching into working orbits are proposed.
