Penn State University, in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States, announces the opening of a scholarship program that invites Ukrainian scientists and graduate students who were forced to leave their place of residence as a result of or to avoid the negative consequences of russian aggression against Ukraine.
The application deadline from May 1, 2022 will end after the program is filled.
The quota of the scholarship program provides for 20 places with the possibility of moving family members (spouse, children). The expected duration of the program is one calendar year with the possibility of extension depending on the situation in Ukraine. The university will provide a scholarship covering housing and living expenses.
Selected candidates – Ukrainian scientists who are engaged in academic research, or graduate students of higher education in Ukraine who are at the stage of dissertation research – will be able to continue their own research or join projects conducted by researchers at Penn State University. The scientific areas included in the initiative are flexible: the university will coordinate the scientific interests of potential Ukrainian scientists with the interests of faculties.
