Brief description, advantages, further prospects for application.

High-energy synthesis of functional nanostructured materials based on Ti, Al, Cu, and C is carried out by electrodischarge treatment of powders in a liquid and subsequent spark plasma sintering. The result of the electric discharge effect on the Ti Al and Al Cu powder systems placed in an organic liquid is the grinding of the powder, the dispersion of which increases by about 1.5 times with an increase in the specific energy of high-voltage electric discharge treatment in the range of 10-20 MJ/kg, and additional. the formation of carbide and intermetallic phases characteristic of each of the systems. The most favorable conditions for grinding and synthesizing chemical compounds are provided by the use of a volume-distributed multi-spark discharge and kerosene. From the Ti Al powders treated in this way, materials are obtained by spark plasma sintering, which, due to the content of hard Ti C carbides, are characterized by high wear resistance. Materials consolidated from the Al–Cu powder system are close in resistivity to pure sintered copper and have prospects for application in electrocontact joints.
