NEW EURIZON SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: “Remote research grants for Ukrainian researchers”

The EURIZON WP9 Secretariat announced the launch of a new EURIZON support program: “Remote Research Grants for Ukrainian Researchers”, dedicated to supporting Ukrainian researchers whose work was interrupted by Russia’s war against Ukraine. The program is aimed at teams of vulnerable researchers and other relevant staff of Ukrainian institutions who conduct research in all fields of science.

The temporary grants offered under the program are funded by the European Union (through the EURIZON H2020 project, grant agreement 871072). They are designed to enable Ukrainian research teams to continue their scientific work remotely in cooperation with partners from European research institutions. The proposed research projects may take 6 or 12 months. Study groups can consist of 2-5 (or more) people.

Projects can be carried out remotely from any region of Ukraine. The EURIZON Scholarship Program will provide support in the form of research grants only to Ukrainian applicants and not to their European partners.

Application criteria and rules are included in the terms of reference for applicants available on the indico portal: https://indico.desy.de/event/38700/

Applications must be submitted by Project Leaders (PIs) on behalf of their research teams from Ukraine via the online application form on the portal: https://indico.desy.de/event/38700/.
