Ionizing radiation detectors

Purpose. To develop new technologies for the production of materials, their processing and connection, to create an industry of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies.

Application area. Electronics, basic scientific research, medicine, microelectronics, nanotechnology, optoelectronics, radiation technologies.

Advantages. Cheaper compared to commercially available In/CdTe/Pt based detectors; Cheap and widely available materials are used to make detectors; high radiation resistance of ionizing radiation detectors.

Description. The development involves the production of ionizing radiation detectors based on Schottky diodes and heterojunctions made from semiconductor crystals of Hg3In2Te6, CdTe, Cd1-xZnxTe, Cd3In2Te6 chalcogenides and thin films of metals and oxides deposited on them.
