In 2023, two competitive selections of projects for fundamental scientific research, scientific research and scientific and technical (experimental) developments were carried out under the program KPKIK 2201040. One was intended for young scientists working (studying) in institutions of higher education and scientific institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the second – the main competition for Western Military Districts and National Institutions related to the management of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In 2023, 145 projects took part in the second stage of the competition among young scientists, and 750 took part in the main competition among universities and scientific institutions.
Based on the results of the scientific and scientific-technical examination, a list was approved with 79 research and/or development projects of young scientists and 219 research and development projects of the universities and scientific institutions of the main competition, which will be financed by the state budget of Ukraine next year.
