The EU Business Hub investment platform was launched in Brussels to promote Ukrainian projects

The EU Business Hub, which includes an investment platform for promoting projects and cooperation between Ukrainian and European businesses, a business club and the Seven Camp acceleration program, was opened in the capital of Belgium, Brussels, said the chairman of the supervisory board of the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA) and managing partner AVentures Capital Andrey Kolodyuk.

“As part of the EU Business Hub, a Belgian-Ukrainian accelerator will operate, focused on artificial intelligence/dual-use technology, which we are doing together with the Belgians, it is supported by UVCA. The investors are me, a Belgian comrade,” said Andrey Kolodyuk.

According to him, Brussels was not chosen by chance, since it is the center of the EU and NATO structures, but the task is to create connections and expand cooperation between Ukraine and Europe at the entrepreneurial level, one of the focuses is dual-use technologies.

On his Facebook page, Kolodyuk noted that Seven Camp is an acceleration program for startups in the fields of AI, FinTech, Smart City, IT and Dual Use technologies – technologies that can be used for both civil and military needs, in particular for drones.

He clarified that the duration of the program is three months, and the main focuses are business development: creating opportunities to find clients and partners, attracting financing, an educational program on marketing and product strategy, and technological development and improvement of MVP projects.

According to the head of UVCA, the program is a coordinated initiative of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, investors and European partners, uniting many European AI players to provide participants with more than EUR500 thousand of public and private funding and bonuses from partner SaaS.

As for the investment platform, which is part of the EU Business Hub, as noted by the managing partner of AVentures Capital, it was created in partnership with UVCA, and its main goal is to promote the projects of Ukrainian entrepreneurs and attract resources for their implementation through the creation of joint ventures and the search for partners . investors.
